Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation is the civic body that governs the city of Rajamahendravaram in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Constituted as a third grade Municipality in 1865, Rajamahendravaram town has grown fast to the level of selection grade Municipality in the year 1980. Owing to the unique situation of the town between the two rice rich districts, known as the rice bowls of Andhra Pradesh, Rajamahendravaram has grown a into a famous city of trade and commerce.

The corporation is spread over an area of 44.5 Sq. km + 70.5 Sq.km as village & semi-urban extensions.

Administration

The corporation population as per the 2011 Census of India was 343,903. The present Commissioner of the Corporation is Shri M. Abhishikth Kishore (I.A.S)  and Special Officer is Shri. D. Muralidhar Reddy (I.A.S), Collector, East Godavari District.
