Sattenapalli Municipality is well known ULB in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. It is spared over an area of 22.81 sq. kms with a population of 56.721 ( 2011 Census) . It is known famous for cotton and spinning mills.

It is located 31 kms. from new capital city and 35 kms from District Head quarters . It was established as III grade Municipality in the year 1984, and upgraded as II Grade Municipality in the year 2010.

Climate and Rainfall:
Sattenapalli Town, in general , has a tropical climate, winters last from November to February, while summers last from March to June. The annual rainfall is 750 mm, most of it received during the months of July to November.

The population of the town which was 51,404 in 2001 increased to 56,721 in 2011 with an increase of 10.34 % in the last decade . The sex ratio is 1,001 females per 1000 males. The literacy rate is 73.58 % of the populations are literate.

The Financial position of Sattenapalli Municipality is well and is maintained surplus Rs. 196.22 lakhs. Due to implementation of financial reforms from last 20 years and following of rules and regulations strictly in financial matters and necessary steps are being taken to improve the Financial position of the Municipality.
